We strive to be unique

To stand out from the rest

But fail to realize we are much the same

Lingering around a blind world

Never seeing our true potential

Instead living a life of false pretense.

We all think were going the right way

Never accepting the advice of our peers

Taking wrong turns at every glance

Making sure we are independently challenged 

Showing no sign of change

Instead walking blindly down the moonlit road.

Imagine you were made for something great

Then this life would have meaning once again

Never would you doubt yourself when you awake

Blindness couldn’t touch your sun filled eyes

Because you would see the world for what it is.
